Genealogy Workshop:
Preserving African American Community History & Heritage

Internationally known genealogist Tony Burroughs will conduct a sessions on tracing your African American family roots. Everyone is invited whether you're a beginner or professional genealogist. Burroughs will discuss how to process family papers, family records and genealogy in the electronic age.
There will also be special presentations on Arkansas African American communities such as Dark Hollow, Wrightsville and Hoxie.
The Friday workshop is sponsored by Black History Commission of Arkansas, Curtis Sykes Memorial Grant Fund, Afro American Genealogical Society, Preservation of African American Cemeteries and Mosaic Tempalrs Cultural Center.

Lisa Arnold will be the key speaker. Come learn how to get the most out of Ancestry.com! Arnold will also discuss online family trees, the African American Collection at Ancestry and the World Archives project.
