Our loan boxes are designed for teachers to use in their classrooms and are packed with reproductions of historical artifacts, guide books, and other educational resources. Each box is adaptable for the grade levels specified. Arkansas teachers may check out a loan box for two week for free! This loan box focuses on Arkansas's African Americans and the Great Migration from early to mid-twentieth century. The loan box includes reproduction artifacts and other primary source documents which explore the complexities and effects of the Great Migration by focusing on the migrants themselves and the lives the African American migrants. This free classroom resource includes a teacher's guidebook with lesson plans, student worksheets, and related activities.
