Poetry for Life

Poetry for Life is a fun, interactive hour of poetry for ages 55-105. Participants will play with poems aloud, using call and response, and create a brand new group poem together. No poetry experience is required – just life experience!

This free event is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council. Refreshments will be served.

For more information or to register, contact Janet Perkins at [email protected].

About the presenter:

Karen HayesKaren Hayes is a North Little Rock poet, and a trained Poetry for Life (PFL) and Alzheimer's Poetry Project (APP) facilitator. Both PFL and APP use poems old and new to engage participants' creativity and enrich their lives with poetry.

Karen is the Only Operating Officer and employee of Dogtown Poetry on Demand. You name it, she’ll write about it! She and her 1971 manual Olivetti typewriter travel to art walks, festivals, farmers’ markets, and street fairs.

Karen is an alumna of Artist INC and the Writers Colony at Dairy Hollow.
