You may have noticed that the title for this blog is Library Girl in a Museum World.Part of the concept behind the title originates from the fact that I still am actively involved in the library community and am always interested in overlaps between libraries, archives, and museums (for those who are interested there’s even a joint committee called CALM which works on cross-professional engagement).
Within the American Library Association, there is a division called Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) which discusses issues related to reference and helping users get access to the information that they need. Recently RUSA started a new podcast series called I am RUSA which profiles members and the unique work they do to make their communities better places. I was honored to be selected and have the opportunity to chat with Patricia Valdovinos about why I love RUSA and the History Section and ways in which I still get to do traditional librarian things in an untraditional setting. You can listen to the podcast here.
