MLK Challenge

MLK Challenge

Held annually on Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the MLK Challenge gives youth ages 12 - 18 the opportunity to continue the legacy of Dr. King through service. Each year approximately 100 participants gather at the museum and depart to a variety of locations throughout the city where volunteers are needed. Previous locations include: Little Rock Summer of Solutions, Millennium Adult Day Care, Oakland Fraternal, Helping Hand of Greater Little Rock and Dunbar Community Gardens. This program is designed to help youth learn the importance of giving back to the community and the importance of Dr. King's work.

"Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
