ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Creativity Arkansas collection began in 2008 and showcases artwork created by African American artists with a connection to Arkansas. The
collection celebrates the history of the state through vivid works in a variety of media. Consistent with the vision of MTCC, the collection
preserves and documents Arkansas history through the visual arts.
We are now accepting entries for 2017. The theme is "Hidden No More."
This RFP is open to all artists 18 years of age or older, whether professional or amateur, who are native to or currently reside in Arkansas and whose work depicts the African American experience in Arkansas. There is no submission fee. Artists are invited to submit two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of art. All mediums are accepted.
Provide an artist statement/bio and submit three images of your work. All images must be publication quality i.e. 300 dpi. The artist statement should be no more than 250 words describing your body of work and exhibition experience. Entries must be received no later than Monday, March 27, 2017. No more than two entries will be selected per artist.
If artists are unable to submit their materials by email or online, they may send all the aforementioned materials in one package to the following:

Documents received after the deadline date will not be accepted. Works that do not adhere to the requirements detailed above will be automatically
disqualified from consideration.
- February 17, 2017: Call for art
- March 27, 2017: Deadline for receipt of artwork
- Week of April 3, 2017: Review proposals and notify artist
Applications must be received by mail, by hand or electronically by March 27, 2017, 4:00 pm CST. No exceptions.
